Helping Hand
Thurgood Marshall once said "None of us has gotten where we are solely by pulling ourselves up from our own bootstraps. We got here because somebody bent down and helped us." And now a friend and colleague of ours needs our help, in whatever way we can. On Friday, March 27th, in the late hours of the night, Roya Unwar's home was tragically destroyed in a merciless fire. The fire was so intense that within minutes, more than half of her home was completely burned, leaving Roya and her family wholly displaced of their home and belongings. She and her brother, specifically, lost everything, including but not limited to clothes and shoes, furniture, sentimental items, etc. As we all can imagine these are trying times for Roya and her family and as previously mentioned, this blog serves as an aid to assist them in getting back on their feet. I am asking anyone and everyone who can provide any type of assistance to please do so. It is times like this when our responsibilities as friends come into play. I am confident we can all come together and unite to help pull Roya and her family through this. She needs us now more than ever and no contribution is too little. No contribution will go unnoticed or unappreciated. We have set up an account where donations can be made to The Unwar Family Trust at Wells Fargo Bank. The account number is 7936252381. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to call me, Kimberly Alameda at (949) 690-2106. You can also email me at tink-rox@cox.net. Once again thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read this blog and contribute in any way possible.
